SNL Politics

I watched last night's SNL during lunch today...and I had to fast-forward a bit.

Maybe I'm in the minority of America, but I don't think so...I strongly dislike the political sketches. I think they rely heavily on the impressions, sometimes resorting to over-dramatic facial tics or gestures because of the lacking dialog.

Seriously, stick to funny, celebrity-based humor. Or digital shorts, like Laser Cats.

I agree with you on the political humor. But asking SNL to ditch that would be like asking McGill to stop listening to Metallica. IIt's just part of who they are. But, other than that, i think that last night's was the strongest one this season. I mean, McGrubber was awesome!

Agreed. I don't want them necessarily to ditch all things political just stop doing 90% of the show on it. My favorite stuff is the sketches like "When the first person decided to dance" or whatever it was called last night. Random, crazy humor is my favorite SNL stuff. (Laser Cats definitely falls in that category.

Couldnt agree more Alice! The political sketches have gotten so lame and boring, that I can no longer watch the show live. I tivo and watch later so that I can fast forward through all of them.

My favorite running sketch: The Two A-Holes.
