This Perfume Reminds Me Of You

It used to remind me of London in the summer.
Of dressing to go out and then choosing to stay in because it was too hot to enjoy being outdoors...even with how much I love London.
I enjoyed staying in because he would be there...and I really liked him: how he smiled, how he spoke, how he joked.
This perfume used to remind me of him.

Now, for some reason, when I put it on, it makes me think of you.
Which is a shame because I think you are strange.

Now I'm in a bit of a pickle:
Do I continue to wear it, in hopes that it will, again, absorb a new scented memory?
Or do I put it on my shelf as a constant reminder of all it once encased?

GOSH you're a good writer. I can FEEL this one.
Scents are nearly always memory-filled for me...
There are scents that I have "saved" for that one certain person. It will still bring a smile to my face to breathe it in..
Hold on to that. Don't give it to someone less deserving of the moment.
Put it on the shelf...for now. There may be a day when the memory fades and you can give it to someone even more special.
Until then, save it for him.

I say...rock it! Wear it...own it as YOUR scent not someone else's. But I know how hard it is when a smell takes you back somewhere. Do whats best for you...but I say own the scent!
