Habits vs. Disorders

I am realizing more and more that I have some ridiculous habits...ridiculous meaning that they border on OCD.

For instance...
When I wash my hands, I:
*Always use 4 pumps of soap
*Always use 3 paper towels
*Never touch the sink handles or door knobs afterward

When I go to some one's house, I:
*Always knock in a sequence of 5
*Always fix my hair and try to look as relaxed as possible while I wait

When I leave my house in the morning, I:
*Always check, at least 3 times, to see if I unplugged the hair straightener

Okay, so I guess it's not that bad...
What sorts of borderline-OCD traits do you have?

every night and every morning, so before i go to bed and before i go to school, i make sure that my room is clean. Whenever i turn my computer off, i make sure none of the wires are tangled/up on my desk, and i also make sure the speakers are in the right spot,. as well as the mouse...hmm.

If I do something to one side of my body, I HAVE to do it to the other...for example, today in PE, we did leg stretches on one side, but not the other. So after we were done, I sat there, finishing the stretch by myself on the other leg. I just feel unbalanced if I don't. Or, if I chew food on one side of my mouth, I MUST chew on the other. I am a balanced woman.

I will check my DSM. You might qualify for OCD.

I always say 5 "Glory Be to the Father" prayers when a loved one is flying...

When watching sports on TV I cross my legs to the left or the right if my team does better one way or the other...

Well, I always take a bite, and chew it on my right side, and then take another bite and chew it on my left.

Oh, don't get me started. First, I always check my hair straightner and blowdryer to make sure they are turned off and the cord is not touching anything else metal.(Why, I don't know, as if the cord and metal will start a fire?!) I also always check the knobs to the stove before I go to bed and before I go to work. This was because once Harley was left inside and jumped up on the counter, bumped a knob and the filled the house with gas. It scarred me for life. I also never get up on the wrong side of bed...literally. If I got in on my side, I get off on my side. Okay, I'll stop now.
