Funeral Fashion Faux-Pas

I sang at a funeral today...and I spent most of the afternoon making observations:

1. Mustaches are out. Pass it on.

2. Gold, beaded skirts are not ideal for Fridays at 2pm.

3. Brush your hair before you see hundreds of strangers. And if you haven't had a trim in 15 years, get one.

4. If you insist on carrying something in your back pocket, make it a comb...not a giant metal hairbrush.

5. Disposable cameras are for children at camp...not grown-ups at important life events. (Okay, so I know that doesn't have anything to do with fashion, but it is still a faux-pas).

Note: Josh Garrett came up with this brilliant title.

Is it ever OK to bring a camera to a funeral? I can't imagine wanting pictures while I'm crying my eyes out.

i'm pretty sure gold beaded skirts are not appropriate for any time of any day...especially mourning the loss of someone.

I mean nothing says respect for the dead and grieving like a bright shiny outfit to draw attention to yourself.

Mustaches can never be out, or the greatness of this goes away.

First of all, thank you for the credit on that title. I was ok with not receiving credit, because I never copywrited...copywrote...copy(how the h-e-double hockey sticks would I say this?)
Second of all, the thing that makes moooostaches so brilliant is how horrible they are. Did someone say Tom Sellek?
Third, maybe when the lady with the 2nd-hand store dress was told she was going to a funeral, she thought they said award show.
Fourth, maybe the guy with the giant brush is playing a mean trick on a cartoon Cucumber.
Lastly, thank you Julie for the shout out. Maybe you can call my high school English teacher to see if she can change my grade.
