I walk in to my bathroom to find my hair straightener ablaze...smoke and everything.
I pick it up and unplug it...and there were two long, thin singe marks on the bathroom counter.
Here's what my $100 straightener currently looks like:


Oh, the metal pieces melted off of the plastic backing...WHY would something you are supposed to put near your skin have a setting to get hot enough to melt itself...and burn a countertop?
