The two opening bands were made up of students (current and old) that I totally love, so I was really looking forward to the night.
Janu and the Whalesharks opened. They were amazing. I really can't wait to own their CD. You should check them out, it will be worth your time (especially if you like things that are good).


Sun from Shadow was the headlining band (which seems like a funny term to use for a concert in Tent 2, but I guess that's the correct term). The majority of the crowd was friends, but their parents walked back and forth in the back, stopping only to rhythmically nod in approval and pride. It was fun to see how many people knew the lyrics...true fans. I bought the CD so I can sing-along next time I see their show.
