Nobody Walks In LA

I really want to live in a walking city.
I have this weekend off, so I decided to walk to Starbucks for breakfast this morning.

I love walking.
I love getting dressed, grabbing keys and walking somewhere.

I love to see strangers walking too...and smile...and wonder where they are coming from or headed to.

It's so much more fun than driving a car.
Don't get me wrong: I love to listen to my iPod...sing really loud...get places quickly.
But I think I'd be cool with public transportation, headphones, travel time.

Someday...I want to live someplace huge...like New York or London.
Maybe not forever, but for a time.

You can come visit...we'll take a walk.

I love to walk down to the center by my house...the movie theater, Barnes and Noble, TJ Maxx.
Unfortunately, sometimes I shop and shop and forgetting that I don't have a car!
Lugging home bags is so attractive. I have been tempted to take a shopping cart...how proud of me would you be?

walking is kind of lame when you are 30 minutes late for curfew, and you have to walk 2 miles to get home, and there are gangs all over the place

and you drop your beer

I walked all my life until I moved to the US. I love my car! I absolute love my car!! I don't mind walking here and there but to rely on public transportation is not always fun!

When I lived in Washington D.C. I'd take the Metro rail to/from work almost everyday and then walk to lunch ...

I miss it.

We should walk around Mission Viejo lake sometime and then go eat at Bagels and Brew.
