Amy Winehouse

I heard this song on the radio the other night...and I really liked it.
Then I was having a meeting with Kurt and the same song came on his iPod.

I went home and searched the iTunes top 100 downloads and found it: "Rehab" by Amy Winehouse. I really like the sound of the album; it feels like old bluesy-jazz/pop. (I'm sure that combination offends many bluesy-jazz fans...)

I bought the "clean" version on iTunes...and have been singing it since Thursday...

If you don't already have it, check it out!

You wanted me to give a listen
But I say "No no no"

(This sounds much better in my head than typed out...actually it sounded stupid in my head too...sorry)

She has some great live preformances. Check out her preformance from Letterman on YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IlRF43-xaYc). The back up singers' dancing is awesome!

Also RollingStone had a interesting interview a few months back (http://www.rollingstone.com/news/coverstory/amy_winehouse_back_in_black_rehab_married_soul_beehive_diva).

It's been my favorite song for a few weeks now! I LOVE her sound...very 1960s-ish.
I still TIVO the VH1 Top 20 Videos and can usually find out about great new artists this way!
She's ALMOST as good as you! (And British?)
