I like it when...

People smile at me from across the room.

People run over to say hello.

Someone says "You look nice today" or "I'm so happy to see you".

Someone tells me they like me.

People laugh at my jokes...not at me for making the joke.

I make delicious funfetti cupcakes and people actually enjoy them.

My birthday party is filled with people that love me.

People are honest, gently honest.

I leave work feeling like I was so productive, and actually a fun co-worker.

I receive unexpected, non-holiday-related gifts.

People call me Alice.

A memory is triggered that makes me smile, while I'm walking through Target by myself.

I get for-no-reason text messages.

Someone looks me in the eye and compliments me.

A friend is trustworthy.

I get to watch The O.C. with Katie...while eating Oreos and milk.

I get to stay in an icy cold hotel room with no early morning plans.

I wake up and still have over an hour before my alarm will go off...re-sleep is so good.

A joke catches me off-guard and I can laugh about it all day.

What do you like?

I like it when you write blogs that make me think and I can't wait to comment...
I like it when you tell us about the fancy food you eat at your favorite eateries...some not so fancy but you make the food sound mouth-watering...
OH, and I like you!
and I didn't know what it was called before today but I love re-sleeping too...

I like all of the same things. You are my soul friend. If you are wondering why i am replying to this blog mid-day..it's because I have a cold...and I am sleepy...and I can't concentrate....but this is making me excited to work again.

i LOVE re-sleeping.

i love checking my blog to see a lot of comments have appeared, assuring me that people actually read it.

next time I see you I will run up and hug you, look you in the eye, and tell you that i am really glad to see you and that you look beautiful today. then i will laugh at your joke, not at you.

count on it.
